Piling On Statement Pieces: A DO Or A DON’T?

I don’t know what General Mills puts in its pumpkin spice Cheerios but it gave me an extra dose of flair! My style being eclectic, you know that I don’t shy away from statement pieces but normally I limit my outfit to 1 or 2. But not today!

The first piece I picked was a woven leopard print shell I bought on clearance at Walmart. I paired it with a pair of black skinnies, they are coated and I love the interest the finish adds. As we all agree Fall is for boots and instead of going with my suede Chelsea boots (I wore them yesterday and I try not to wear the same thing twice in a row) I decided to slip on heeled snake ankle boots (another clearance find, this one from ASOS). Mixing prints is big and no one ever said that different animal prints can’t be worn together.

Because, I’m cold natured I have to layer and for some reason, dang Cheerios, my faux suede fringe jacket jumped at me as the obvious pick. That’s statement number 4 if you’re keeping track at home.

The finishing touch, and last statement is a wire choker.

So far, the Fashion Police haven’t arrested me so I take as a sign that I am a DO!
